Okay... so plan C.... Not a V8 diesel, not a 1HZ.... but we might find a 100 series wreck and refit front to back based on a turboed diesel... um I've forgotten what this motor is called.... it's a.... you'll remind me. Any thoughts? For the rig below.

A full time 4wd 170kw TD Troopy, now we're talking!! :-)
I'll be interested to see what people say but I would have thought it'd be a BIG job as nothing would bolt straight up. But I may
well be wrong.

sorry Royce, but I've beaten you to it! Did the factory turbo into 75 series about 6 years ago. Worked out fine.

Desert,
I'm guessing you updated to either a 12H-T, 1HDT or 1HDFT,which are not EFI.
Royce is thinking of the 1HD-FTE (intercooled) from the 100series complete with EFI,computer etc etc. Might be awefully complicated with all the extra electronics.
I know from just looking at my 79series, its got a bunch of extra bits and looms that you won't find onthe 1Hzzzzzz
Cheers

Correct Phil G, it was the 1HD-T.
