Power data cable for Garmin GPS12

Got to buy a new cable for our Garmin GPS12. Our old cable has the serial port end which we use with a serial port to USB converter. Just wondering if there is a newer cable to suit that has a USB end, therefore eliminating the need for the adaptor?
