The ball is rolling people.

Theres talk in the age today about it, and "approval" for it from the PUSHBIKE RIDERS! Yes, killer 4wds in the city taking up all that nasty room are taking up space that should be there for pushbikes..

PHECK EM!

When they pay rego, they can have a say.

But yup, the ball is rolling people, thanks 4wd association.. Your strength is amazing, like wet dunny paper, your DB of voice for us could only be compared to a sandstone rock, peoples confidence in you is as positive as the worlds confidence in George Bush's war on WMD....

Well I say there is a lot of truth in the saying that the "Lord helps those who help themselves"!

I work in Hastings Vic, (small town) & I went up the street to get some lunch, in approx. 100 meters there was one 4WD illegally parked in a handicapped spot & another casually parked across 2 parking spaces.

This just gives the idiots more ammo to use against us!

And this is the crux of our problem.

Negative things like that outway positives 10 to 1. (people are 10 times more likely to repeat something negative).

We all have a responsibility to set an example and change the perecption.

People are 100 times more likely to see those bad examples and will rarely see the 4WD beside the dumbass thats parked legally.

All they'll remember is the dummy parked across two spots, on top of a bike.

If there is one single group of self righteous clowns who collectively give me the sh*ts, it is the gayly coloured, lycra clad, poonce brigade of shaven men who feel the urge to parade around the river and coast in large groups on tredlies blocking BOTH lanes of traffic INTENTIONALLY.

One of these tossers is a broker in Perth who does a radio stockmarket report on the ABC and was openly laughing (boasting) about this 'tactic' on air and then went on to imply that bicycles have more right to the road than anyone else.

I take great pleasure in slowly overtaking them in 5th gear on full throttle at 500rpm with the diesel 6.5's unmuffled V8 pipe showing them what consideration is all about. How does that taste cobber....hey? As the saying goes "do unto others...."

And they have the front to whinge about 4WD's taking up space - buncha self absorbed nancy prats. Whine and bleet about the feng shui of your skinny soy de-caff latte's napkin fold as that is a subject they'd be amply qualified to write about.

Every day, i just get closer and closer to throwing it all in an loooking for a job caretaking a station in the Goldfields or something along those lines. The further away from it all, the happier I seem to get.

Hmmmmm....Rant off.......but jeez the PC Police just irk me. Haven't had a ciggie in six weeks and I think it's starting to get to me;-)

Hahahahah - Tell us what you REALLY think! Don't hold back now!

LMAO. I think you have crystallised the thoughts of most users of motorised road transport - not just 4WD drivers.

Cheers

Post of the Year!!

But I give it 10 mins tops!

Noting: its actually Illegal what the gayly coloured, lycra clad, poonce brigade of shaven men are doing. Taking up more lanes than required.. There was a big thing on tele and radio here about it few mths ago, with the gayly coloured, lycra clad, poonce brigade of shaven men doing a weekly ride down some coast rd here in melb that were doing it. even the gayly coloured, lycra clad, poonce brigade of shaven men bike association condemed it.

But as usual the cops are weak as our 4wd association.

Don't wait V8 !

Before you do someone an injury, get out of it - once done, you'll be happier for it.

Just got back from the coast, and have to laugh at so many people living so close together with so many cars and so many traffic lights and so many etc.etc.

So much space in this country......

I won't start on how a number of the above mentioned brigade feel that they also do not have to obey traffic signals.

The number of times I have almost cleaned up a bunch of them because they just ploughed on through a red light.

Not only do they take up more room than needed, but how many times do we tell our kids that to ride safely on the roads they should ride single file when in groups. Yet we have groups of Professional Riding Organisations that through their actions send the wrong messages to our kids.

I too have had the displeasure of negotiating the gayly coloured, lycra clad, poonce brigade of shaven men in Perth. Once you have over taken them you can always wash your windscreen - bug guts and water, what a befitting treat.

Do we have a National voice that can stand up and be counted?

if not why not and lets get moving!

I don't give a damn, I take up two parking spaces when ever I can. Just watch how people get in and out of their cars.

Well you are just inconsiderate & exactly why 4WD owners are under fire at the moment.
Why don't you try parking a bit further away & using your legs!

FYI Shaker I do park pretty much in the furthest corner of any car park I park my car in. You like door dents in your car? If developers and planning people dont take the size of 4wds into consideration what are we to do. As I said; I DON'T GIVE A DAMN. If I need to take up two spaces to protect my vehicle from careless people in carparks then that is what I will do.

Did anyone read in the Herald/Sun Feb 16 page 21

An interesting article about "Our Cuddly Cops"

Id Goes on about "our Police are supposed to uphold the law but are more concered with New Age sensitivity and the rights of aggressors"

it's a full page article by Andrew Bolt and well worth a read how the critical mass bike pedal pushers have being getting away with their antics with the help of a Sergent Russell

can scan it but have no means to publish it for you interstaters maybe someone can help

cheers Klaus

Anyone noticed how Critical Mass can protest, yet when motorcyclists went to do the same, they were threatened with exectution?
