Cooper ST-C queries

I have two Cooper ST-C tyres on the back of my GQ patrol. These were replaced by Coopers after some chipping on my ST's (I was actually quite impressed by the way the tyres had handled the tough 10,000km's anyway but thought I would test their warranty anyway!).
Has anyone done some serious driving over rocky terrain in the new anti-chip tyre and if so did they live up to what they are designed for?

Gossy,
Have had a set of these for around 60000km and they are good. Not quite as good a wear as normal STs km wise but dont chip nearly as much on sharp rocks.

thanks for the feedback. My Coopers are bush tyres only so are currently off waiting for the next trip (Robe in 2 weeks). In that case they should last me a long time if not driving around town in them. As for the road noise I haven't really noticed much difference, though I only have them on the back. The GQ isn't exactly a quiet veh anyway!

Can't comment on the ST-c, but the ST's that I put on for the Cape were a bit of a dissappointment. They gripped well, handled well, drove well, but the wear rate was more than twice as much as a set of Hankooks doing the same trek. (we measured them both) Then closer inspection back at home revealed troublesome cracks appearing where the lugs join the shoulder. This in only 10K! I won't be buying any more of them!

Exactly the same problems that I had with Cooper STs, I also had Hankook Z36s prior.
Complain & you will get a credit. I was also allowed to use my credit for any brand that I wanted. Obviously I didn't try Coopers again!
'Once bitten, twice shy'!
I replaced them with Firestone Firehawk MTRs, about $50.00 less per tyre. I am happy so far ... but only time will tell.

Interesting. I also had the lugs peeling away. Maybe the tyre manufacturers have reached the limit of tread depth before this happens? (coopers have the deepest tread depth I believe which obviously makes the raised lug higher).
