Take one 23yo driver, one HSV Clubsport, one off-duty police officer and a bit of speed.... mix
well.

It's hard to define a fast car though... This is my Triton, got up there without too much effort either(although NOT on a suburban street). I'm not condoning the idiot you mention but most modern cars get up and boogie at speeds too fast for
young drivers. I think our system for gaining a licence needs a big overhaul, also
young drivers who do this sort of thing should be banned for life...

Blue, no I'm not going to harrass you about your photo as I'm pretty sure that we've all been up there at one time in our lives - right or wrong.
But the Question that I have for you, and I'm am not sure if I want to know the answer to this, but...
How the heck did you take the photo???? It's a nice shot....

It was taken on a very remote stretch of road at night, the digital camera has a point of focus light so when it was in the middle of the instruments I pushed the button.

I'm guessng that since you only filled up 42.6kms ago and only have 1/4 full tank then you don't get very good economy at 160km/h :)~

I see it was an Astra convertible which finally stopped him from doing further damage!!!!
Blue, you're not suggesting Tritons go like stink? It would have taken you a while to wind the old girl up!

It actually got there quicker than I thought, I was thinking I was up around the 130-140 mark but was quite suprised to see 160. Suprisingly stable at speed too. I'm generally a non speeder(result of too many fines as a kid), occasionally I'll creep 5 or 10 over on a nice stretch of highway but almost never around town. Guess I just had a moment of weekness, and expected to get negative
feedback...

Doing that on axle stands is more dangerous than doing the real thing...

It doesn't have to be a fast car. Take the fast cars off them and they will still find a way of killing themselves with whatever is available. Remember when you were
young? Lucky to be here?
