John - Qld
Can such a thing be made - a short adapter lead - one end female hella plug, other male cig plug.
Need for evakool fridge to operate on hella in car - and cig plug on 240v.

Hi
John,
Yes no problems, just buy a hella socket from a 4x4 store and cig plug - solder the connectors then heatshrink it to make it tidy.
However there is such a beast as a dual fitment plug (fits both Hella and cig sockets. They come standard on the Waeco's, but I also bought an aftermarket one made by Lumen at Supercheap

Sorry should have been more clear.
240v adapter/inverter with cig plug socket. Needed with evakools to run off 240v.

John,
I actually managed to refit the hella style socket into my 240v fridge power supply.
I have a Waeco fridge, which came (as mentioned before) with a universal plug and a Mobitronic power supply. The cig socket in the power supply was mounted to the
shell with a small square plastic plate with a hole in the centre. I replaced the plate with one having a hole suitable for the Hella plug. You would never know it had been retrofitted.

As Boxer said, get a dual plug. This is a Hella style plug with a plastic ferrel (?) that adapts it to fit a standard lighter socket. Standard with Waeco fridges.
Cheers,
John.
