Hi Everybody,
I'm wondering if anyone out there has fitted Simex Centipedes to their IFS Hilux? I imagine there would be some rubbing with full lock. I am looking to get some good off road (60% sand/40% mud) tyres for weekend play time. I love the look of the Centipedes. Any suggestions?
Regards,
Michael.

They are crap on sand.. Simple as that.

You dont want aggressive tires in sand, all they do is dig down and you end up on your diffs.

You want AT's for sand work, or even HT's.

then if you want mud, then go with some muds or better.

What size you talking about?

Hi Michael,
I can't help with the Centipedes but am running Cooper STT (muds) 31x10.5s on 15 inch rims on my 99 hilux. Noticed they are pretty crap on the beach compared to my old worn out ATs. Terrofic in mud and rocks. The tyres touch on the plastic mudflap inside the wheel arch at hard lock/full compression. Seem pretty good on gravel roads too. HTH
Cheers, Wayne
