Wanted, 1KZ-TE motor for 11/00 Prado KZJ95 TD at a decent price. Was nothing wrong with head when it went back on 4-5 weeks ago. Let go BIG time(ie now compression locked!). I now need to find another motor ASAP. Disgusted with old motor and Toyota so this is my best option at the moment(No Surf import motors thanks).

No luck with 1KZ-TE, try retrofitting with a 4XJ1 for motoring pleasure.

Cheers,

Dion.

Dont know what area your in but Brisbane motor imports may have some 2nd hand, or you could try one of the members here at work , at CMI Toyota Adelaide as Toyota dealers have engines for most toyotas on a by the month plan even on special lately.

Paul,

Your best bet is a brand new factory long motor from CMI Spare Parts on West Terrace, Adelaide. They have a 1KZ-TE on the showroom floor, and they are on special at a bargain price. Can't remember the price, but remember thinking that they were cheaper than used.

Cheers
Phil

Just to edit my last re Toyota, CMI and Salisbury Toyota dealerships in SA go out of their way to help. Another dealer in Adel was as useful as my conversation with head office re my motor. Hats off to these guys for your help. Still peeved with my motor. Everyone is of the opinion that they only die if they are cooked or drowned in water. So........
