Hi all
Has anyone stayed at Ballfe Bobs Caravan Park on Baffle Creek (north on Bundy) recently?
We are thinking of heading there for easter and would appreciate anyones thoughts on the park/area.
Cheers

LT,
Yes a group of us stayed at Baffle Bobs a couple of years ago. In my oninion the pick of the caravan parks in the area. His park is quite large and backs on to baffle creek which is more like a river. The park area that backs on to the river is more a free camping unpowered area. If you are into boating the Baffle Creek offers a lot of opportunities. With prior arrangement Bob and his wife put on a dinner (payed of course) for a group of us. His fish chowder was excellent but he would not give us the recipe. We had a game of barefoot bowls on his bowling green. The back of his kiosk area looks a bit of a junk yard but as he explained that is his stock of 'come in handy things' being so far from a major town. We would have no problems in staying there again. There is plenty to do in the area eq. Rhules (Rules?) Beach, Deepwater National Park etc. You may need to get moving on booking though for Easter.
Cheers,
Indy

Hi LT,
Got to agree with Indy. Baffle Bob's is the pick of the caravan parks in the area. We stayed there just before Christmas last year. He has a little shop there with basics and can refill gas bottles. Good fishing and crabbing in Baffle Creek and a nice strip of beach at Rules about 5k away. There's also a Discovery Coast trek note for the area on Explore Oz.

See Ya
PatC
