get what you pay for.
Read the feedback
yes i did win the bid but later found out it was a factory 2nd seller not honest
Quality excellent. But only 1 tiny label (no brand ID). Odd for 'Brand New'.

You can get the small waeco thing for under $100

As John says they work on he Ambient temp around.. Think its something like 15 below ambient temp, so if its 35 outside the box, its 20 inside.. but cant remember what the below amb temp figures really are at moment, contact a waeco dealer for the correct figs.

I bought the waeco 18 lt job , seems to work ok , but dont leave it on when car is off. The suck juice like there is no tomorrow . I had mine on for half a day and over night for testing, came back to find both 700amph batteries dead flat . How shocked was i when i have run my weaco 90 fridge for over 4 days with the vehicle off

Ray got ours with a stock drench offer and should have taken something else. Will go to 20 degrees below ambient temperature it says. It has a switch on top that got knocked and that melted the lovely waxed cheese with the wax, cooked the eggs and bacon, melted the butter and curdled the milk in one move. Like Eric says will take a lot of electricity to run it. Will sell ours cheap! Even then it would be too much........

I would go to the fridgeshop, you can buy the 32L Tropicool Waeco jobbies 2 for $250 at the moment, they would absolutally kill those ebay jobbies. I find the coolers on Ebay overpriced. The Tropicool does a 30c below ambient.

The other option is the one I bought. I got the Waeco 44L job, it only does 25c under ambient (well about 20c when full). Cost me $150 from fridgeshop.com.au.
I mod'ed it and put a 6 amp pletier and upgraded fans on it giving me a fridge like operation at the sacrifice of drawing 6-8amps for 40 minutes and hour. But hey, works for me!

Still cheaper than a real fridge by a long way and ok if you have a decent battery setup and don't go away for weeks at a time.

Ive got a 32l tropicool, as well as a ff70 waeco, the tropicool is great for day trips to put lunches drinks fruit etc in, cant fault them. When my ff70 was getting fixed under warranty, the cooler came in handy for a day out on Stokton beach, kept all the drinks quite cold. When i first bought it, i left it running in my old Hilux, flat battery in the morning, lucky i had a battery pack, but Hilux battery packed it in eventually, after being fully drained.....

Cheers Paul..
