Have an expert
check it over. It may be OK at that price which would be cheap for '93.
May be lots of wear in everything from trans,
suspension & motor just waiting to let go if not
well maintained. Be critical in your assesment, a lower km vehicle with say 160,000 kms at few more dollars may be much better bet depending on whats been replaced.
I dont know Rodeos but am speaking generally.

hey bruiser,
check out the condition of the front drive shaft, couple a hundred bucks to change over, we have done 2 in about 60 or 80k.
If it has carried weight have a close look at the chassis, ours is a 96 or 98 and the tray is about 2 inches closer to the cab than it used to be and it isn't the tray mounts.
check the power steering too for leaks.

How is your tray 2in closer to the cab than before.
Mine was less than 1in from new.
Also 96 is old shape and 98 is the shape just superceded.
Not trying to start anything.

Rear springs are known to sag easy. Having done over 300k I'd say they would have been due for replacement long ago if not already done.

I had a 92 model and got rid of it with 250000 on the clock in 99. It was a great vehicle but I had numerous oil leaks. Never had any rust problems though! It worked extremely hard as we were living around the Balgo Hills (Tanami/
Great Sandy desert) areas and the vehicle was pushed to the limit often. In its later years, 98/99, it was solely used as a fishing vehicle around
Carnarvon and when I turned the key it started everytime. If I had my time over again would I buy another one. Yes. I don't think I would buy the one I had now. The one you're looking at may be it! Does that make any sense. The one I had had all of what the one you're looking at, but no cigarette smell, and I got rid of it for $7000.
The engine, apart from the oil leaks, was bulletproof and very easy to service. The oil filter was a pain to get at. The concerteened section of hose between the airfilter and the turbo is prone to splitting (later models had a different type). The front CV boots split and then you have CV joint problems. I had one rear wheel bearing go out there and a new clutch plate at 180000. That was about it so I was pretty happy with it. Fitted heaps of extras as I went along like the tank, canopy,
snorkel,
suspension. Wont do it again. I'll get it all on first!

Hi there,
302km on the clock, I'd want to see some service history, also have a good hrd look to see if it's been degreased and cleaned up prior to inspection.
If that donk lets go, it won't be cheap!!
Also consider, most other components apart from friction parts, are likley to have travelled a significant amount of that distance if not all of it, so springs, bushes, calipers, box, diffs, tailshafts etc.
I would be looking for a lower km vehicle if the budget will stretch.
My 2 cents!
