Hi all,
We will be staying in Maitland NSW around March, there are 2 caravan parks, Coachstop & Maitland. Has anyone got any experience with either of these? Or is there any other caravan parks close by?
Thanks for any advice
Sanga

sang.. if your travelling through n'cle and going nroth.. i'd go and stay at Stockton Caravan park.. on the beach.. much nicer atmosphere (not that it won't be at Maitland).. but if the weather keeps up (hot!).. it would be handy to be near the beach for a swim! and also.. 20mins up the road and you've got beach acess for endless klms of beach driving!.. much fun!.
in regards to the coachstop & maitland caravan parks... bloke at work suggests the Maitland Carvan Park... but also.. ifyour a country orientated person/family.. maybe stayig up in the Valley at one of the Winery's???

G'day Sanga
There is a reason why neither of these caravan parks appear in the NRMA Tourist Park Guide, Mozza is probably on the money, Stockton sounds the go.
When are you coming, how many are you, what have you got and how long are you staying.
I live in Maitland.
Ask if you want for email address.
Safe travells

Hi Jim-Bob,
We are going to Rutherford for a function, and will be towing a 22 ft van. Are there any other caravan park within 20k of Rutherford.
Many thanks
Sanga

It's the better of the two, think of what the other place is like, I lock my car doors when I drive past after dark even at 80kph.
Spooky travels

You could also try Clarence Town C/Van park. Rural outlook and very quiet.

G'day Sanga
The best place to stay would probably be Valley Vineyard Tourist Park, Mt View Road in Cessnock, it's a 3 1/2 star Big4.
It's about 30klms (25mins) drive.
There is the Tomago Village Van Park (1km north of Hexham) but only 1 1/2 star and still nearly 30klms and 25 mins drive.
Maitland may be known as the hub of the hunter but only for motel based tourists
Unfortunately your van is a bit to big to get into my backyard.
Hope this helps.
Safe travells
Jim-Bob.
