Hi all,

Have just bought a new Waeco CF40AC and I am pleased to say that this model no longer creates interference with my HF radio as my friend's older Waeco does.
It also is very efficient. Cools down to below freezing in less than an hour and I have had it run on a 7Ah gel cell overnight. It did cut out in the morning, but still not bad going, as it kept the temp at 4c for about 10 hours.
Cheers

Is this the fridge that runs only from 240 volt?

If so, were you running it through an inverter?

10 hours from a 7 amp battery, that suggests it uses 0.7 amps per hour. That sounds mightily impressive.

Cheers,

Jim.

Hi,

No, this is the 12V/240V jobbie, the one currently advertised. And I ran it on a 12V 7Ah gel cell overnight.
The low battery cut out came in after about 10 hours. Ambient temperature was around the 21c mark.

So, all in all, pretty impressive really.

Cheers
