SD card prices have dropped considerably in last 6 months - $68 for a 256mb at a
shop is an acceptable price, though always cheaper otions on ebay. Some smaller shops still have "old" stock at the "old" price. Quality? difficult to appraise but dont think youll have a problem with it in a GPS. Not much use getting 1gb SD card for a Magellan GPS (you only need <256mb for maps of all of Australia) but handiy if you can use it elsewhere (eg photos/raster maps).
