Hi Guys
Looking at camping around Captain's Flat at
Easter. Does anyone know what's available and whether it's likely to be crowded.

Mate,
You don't want to go to Bendethra? - will be busy, but a stack of room there.
Otherwise, Big Hole is 17 Km from Captain's Flat - lovely spot - drop toilets, river (dunno how much water in it - been 5 years since I've been there) - but it is much smaller than Bendethra - OK if you're first or second there, but don't be late!!
I found this on the web:
Deua National Park
17 km south of Captains Flat is
the entrance to
Deua National Park which has picnic and barbecue facilities. The highlight of any trip to the park is to inspect
the Big Hole, a
limestone collapse which is nearly 100 metres deep and 50 metres wide. The walk to
the Big Hole involves crossing the upper reaches of the
Shoalhaven River and walking through some particularly beautiful countryside.

Hi
I was through Deua over the weekend and out through Big Hole yesterday (6 March). There is water in the creek/river and a few campers around. Could only anticipate that it would be crowded (as will most
places) at
Easter.
