I'm going to be in Adelaide (tomorrow) for just one night staying at Stamford Plaza & would like to move a travel bug interstate. Can anyone give me co-ordinates close to Stamford Plaza Hotel or known caches that are walking distance from same that can be done early evening/early morning?

Hello - OziExplorer namesearch gave me (for North Terrace where hotel is situated) Lat 34.92209 & Lat 138.59252. www.geocaching.com.au then provided the list of nearest caches...
Geocaches near North Terrace Adelaide
Some are probably not suitable for your intended purpose but....
Cheers

I sent one final shout after him to stick to the track, to which he replied “All right,” That was the last ever seen of Gibson - E Giles 23 April 1874

Thanks greg. What is it with South Australians and micro Caches? I was on to page 3 of the lists before I found a container that might accept a small TB.

Hey Nudey.

Carefull it's addictive. Plenty of 4wd access only caches in Victoria too.

We had a 4wd cache event recently too.

History Mystery High Country Event

Event page on geocaching.com

Just some of the geocaches in High Country Victoria

A great family sport that takes you places you wouldn't have known existed, or bothered stopping for in the past cos you didn't know they were there.

All you need to get started is a gps. Registration is free. Punch in your postcode on the www.geocaching.com home page. I'll bet there's one near you, if not 10 or more. Theres close to a thousand in Victoria.

You'll find if you get hooked you start planning trips around them. The first thing I looked at when I started planning the Cape York trip was whether there's a cache at the top....
