Has anyone been there and if so what can you tell me about the area. Looking at starting there and working our way down through Murray Sunset and the Border track. I know the other areas just not Lindsay Island

Hi grimbo

Lindsay island is a beatiful part of the river. Many great camping spots, IMO the mouth of the mullaroo is the most picturesque, with there also being great fishing. Was there at the start of feb and caught 2 s and small cod and about thirty silver perch.

Have good one

Please excuse my ignorance....but just where is Lindsay always on the lookout for good camping spots along the Murray...we will be at Mannum for a few days in May on our way to Darwin , and then on our way home some 12 -13 weeks later we are hoping to check out other places for future camping trips...cheers

Lindsay island is about sixty km's from Renmark and about 40 from Yamba, To get there take the old linsay point rd, just out of Paringa and then follow the signs. It is in Victoria but everybody that lives and works out their runs on SA time.

lindsey island is great but being in a you cant take dogs.if you head up the river towards wentworth there is a place called molka island then wallpolla island which are state forests you can do more there and take a dog. just as nice but a little rougher. just be carefull of the snakes.
