Hi everyone,

I was contacted today by one of the rangers at the Werrimul Office who was doing a final check of the Shearers Quarters, the tank is full of water, there are two showers at the Quarters, and they have made sure that there's pleny of gas for us ....he also told me that if anyone who is using a tent wants to pitch it in the Shearers Quarters Grounds they can do so [there is a fire pit there as well] the rest of us will be in the camping ground which is about 100 meters away...

Please refer to updates posted on post number 20594.

Trucky if you want to paste your link here go for it...I"m not good with links ;)

cheers

Lyn

I'll be heading up the Sunyrasia. You'll be heading up the Calder. The two meet a bit south of Ouyen. From Ouyen hang a left onto the Mallee highway towards Adelaide for about 60 k's, the turnoff to the right is signposted...10k in on a good dirt road.

Mate, great news on the lockers...they kick butt, no doubt about it.
With the high forecast temps and no rain I think I'll leave the tent at home, see how I feel when I load up tomorrow. Don't forget the fuel for the bikes...can't put smelly oil in em. Not sure what time I'll get away. I have to work Thursday night till midnight but will pack up most of the stuff tomorrow before work....only a coupla boxes and the Engel....I'm travelling light

yea havent got my knee brace yet, so wont be m/bikes, only pushies.
yea thinking a lunchtime leave would be good, that way miss all traffic, and also get there around 7, quick tent up, some photos around the place (clearing off the 2gig cards now) and fire and sleep.

Wanna travel light, usually do, but with the trailer, I'll probably lose my brains.

Very sad to say I'm a last minute withdrawal. My eldest son James (who was coming with me) was diagnosed with diabetes today, into hospital at 7 pm tonight and Jenny and I have just got home. He'll be in hospital for a couple of days whilst they stabilise it. Don't fancy taking him straight up the bush, miles from medical help whilst we are learning how to treat it.

See you all next time.

Cheers,

Jim.

Jimbo if you can deal with solar panels Diabetes will be a doddle, take some time to work out what needs to be done then you'll have it in hand. These days its very controllable. Best wishes to you both from the Barby family as you work your way thru it.

All the best to James .. it's always a shock though if you look after yourself there is usually no problem. I reckon in ten years they will have stem cell transplants that might be able to cure it.

All the best to all of you.

Hi Folks you all have a good time at "Murray Sunset" it is a nice area.
Dissapointed our 17 day trip 13th to the 29th clashed with this event but there will be other times.
Will be meeting Ruth & Ian at Birdsville 20/3 -22/3 might be the 1st from EO in BV this year, hoping to catch some Yabbies, and tackle Big Red.

To all of you have a Happy Easter & safe travelling
