Can anyone suggest good sites to visit for pics/info. regarding Cyclone Ingrid, I have had a look at www.weatherzone.com.au but was wondering if there are any that may get pics when it crosses the coast.
Thanks in advance.

If anyone who submits photos to this site happens to be in that area there will be photos posted. There are also a few dedicated storm chasers, whether they'll head that way I'm not sure.
Probably not as it happens though!!

I used to have a sweet site that was a joint venture between OZ and US navies that showed near real-time images (better than the half hour updates on BOM) but I've lost it- I think it was NOAA. look around for naval oceanography and im sure you'll find it.
Aussie Navy oceanography
useful but technical links
contry-wide pressure maps

I am hoping to be able to cross the Archer River on way to
Weipa on 29th this month. Last week it was down to 400mm and vehicles were getting thru to
Weipa but now it will be very different I think!
Still, a lot of water can drain away in 3 weeks.
This is a good site -
