I have a 3.0ltr Turbo Diesel Nissan Patrol, 2000 Auto. I have the DTRONIC chip but am still after more power and torque. Can anyone advise if an aftermaket larger exhaust system (ex: 3" Mandrel) is worth it on a 3ltr TD Patrol... or is it only advantageous on a 4.2ltr? Where can I go to get an exhaust system installed in VIC to give me better specs if there is an option to do so?

Diesels need to breath and a bigger excaust should help with more power, most 4b shops will tell you who does them.

Have looked into this myself and the advise that i got was not to bother with the 3" system you only need a two and a quarter inch system as the outlet from the turbo is two and a quarter and three inch is just a waste. Also with the auto 3lt you have to run a hot dog at the rear as for some reason they tend to resonate and it will drive you mad.

Martin, there is a fix for the 2 1/4" dump pipe, makes a big difference on a 4.2, do not know about the 3 lt though.
