Hope you noticed the :) and didnt take offence. These things have their place. Just because I can't afford to take the house, and a driver, butler and cook with me doesn't mean I wouldn't like to. ("Tahiti looks nice James")
I wonder how many here remember that ad?
Caravan...great, no worries when it rains etc, air con ? I wish ! Generator ? Partee all night dudes.
Hmm...time for a reality check...again :))

G'day,

that'd be a 4 stroke jobbie. I've got a GMC similar/same one (which stays at home) for my tank pump and the increasing amount of black outs which may or may not be caused by the very successful marketing of air conditioners, affecting our grid.

They aren't the ones running the yamaha ohv copy are they?Maybe not they are red/black and clearly marked. Seen a 2kva , yellow paint looked very much like a copy of the newest yami motor, no brand.

I've killed my GMC and lost the reciept :-& :-)

Oh for an edit function.

Robin/subaru more likely than Yamaha.

Sorry

Go buy a new one (GMC) and use the receipt to take the old one back...in a few months, and sell the new changeover one. I am guessing the old one is still under warranty, so you aren't doing anything immoral. Put receipt in ziplock bag and tape to genny.

All I can say is be careful with the receipt as the Bunnings cash register dockets fade after a while and you can't read them. Get a photo copy of the original

"Made In China" gen sets..We put a heap of "Brand Name..(A sticker) Mentioned on this page" gen sets in stock..All but one came back to be fixed..Biggest problem is on the ratchet on the starter rope, can you beleive they dumped the metal pawl (cost less than 1c in China and saved heaps?) and used a PLASTIC one.Like, that worked for about a week.Only need 52 for a year of use.You guessed it! We no longer stock their gen sets,(but their other products are fine)only Honda powered ones.No more problems.Stick with Honda or Robin (Subaru) motors if you are for the long term in portables.
