Hi all,
I have just spotted the above fridge/freezer on Ebay for $500.00.
Does anyone have any thoughts on value? The fridge is 8 years old.
Cheers

Cobes,
That sounds a bit too tasty too me. Three ways do not hold their value like compressor fridges, especially Engels.
For a comparison, I recently sold a 6 year old 39L Engel for $650, that was purchased new for $1100.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Jim.

Cobes,
The RC1180 normally retails for around $1100 (barring the odd special deal).
There are no moving parts in them eg. compressor, so if it is in good nic and operational suggest it is reasonable value. I had one for a number of years and had a good run out of it. Only criticism was that it was a bit bulky.
Regards,
Greg

this I'm sure is the same as ours. We bought ours new about 10 years ago for $1200. Just recently replaced the 240volt heating coil for $100. otherwise no problems. Someone in
Melbourne a repairer offered us $400 when it was broken. as a trade in. We opted to fix ours so far its good.
