the problem with the temperature rising past 3/4 is an easy fix simply
make an earth wire directly to the negative terminal and fasten the other end on one of the screws near the bonnet clip lever the temperature will still rise about a
tad higher but should not rise any further hope this solves your problem.

David,
Are you responding to somebody else's previous request for info on this subject? If so, what was the Post number please?

I'm sorry but I don't understand what your fix is trying to do or how it achieves anything????

Cheers

Roachie

I think it works the same as putting tape over the temperature gauge

david since the earth wire is calibrated to act with the temp guage.....all that would do is give you a false reading ..... I but like shoving your head in the sand....

creating a better earth will actually make the reading be more accurate
besides how the hell would a better earth give an inaccurate reading

Sorry David,
You lost me too mate...no offence though, just cant work out what your trying to say. From what i read though, i cant see that there can be a "better earth" as you said. It either works or it dont. either way you would see irratical movement in the gauge.
cheers Ange
