We are about to embark on a trip to Central Australia. Our Ford station wagon is dedicated LPG. Does anyone have any information about availability of LPG? It seems the service station sites that we have checked may not be up -to-date. Can we do this trip?

The ALPGA site is good - and it has the same "Outlet Finder" as the http://www.lpgautogas.com.au site.

We have a 96 Falcon wagon on gas/petrol...we run it on gas most of the time...did a trip around the block in 98 which included the centre and the only problem we had was at Barkly homestead ...they had run out of gas...You should fill up though whenever you see a station with gas or plan your mileage well and you should not have any problems...well..we did not . We are of again in May in a trip with the same vehicle up the centre and down the west coast and do not envisage any hassles...cheers
