If you have damaged solar film on your truck which you wish to remove, try one of those cheap steam cleaning kettles that are currently being sold for domestic use.
I had tried all the Ammonia based methods promoted on the Web with no success,but by using the above device it easily came away.
The trick is to scratch a section,then apply the steam jet at an angle so that the steam gets under the film.
Once a bubble forms just grab the edges and gently pull away keeping the steam applied.

hi there you can also use a plain old hair dryer does the same thing
