Hi all,
I've got three more sleeps 'till retirement day. The biggest decision I have is, should I sit at
home and wait to die (which seems popular) or should we hitch the Bushtracker to the LC and take off? What should I do???

Stay
home of course. You must have a lot of uncompleted jobs around the house to keep you busy for a few years.
Enjoy the trip.

Well Mal,
Best thing to do is stay
home.
I'll take the LC and Bushtracker for a run on your behalf. I may also need access to your super so I can maintain them and put fuel in the LC.
Just let me know where and when to collect the equipment,
Geoff.
Enjoy the travelling.

I think you're rubbing it in, aren't you.
You know most of us will be at work in 3 sleeps!!
And you're going to go off on a fantastic trip somewhere for who knows how long, without a care in the world,.......................selfish.
Have you got room for me ???

Go, and keep going till the money runs out.
Maybe you can talk to "10para" he seems to have resolved the problem.
All the very best mate. Keep in touch.
I would be a happy man if I was doing the same thing.

When U do get out there dont make the mistake of not using your body & become
most unfit then unwell.
Its easy to sit in the drivers
seat or the deckchair just navel gazing. Retirements not about doin nuthin & dying, its about doing stuff & living.

Throw the Gold Watch in the bin and disappear.
You will find that retirement is the busiest time of your life.
Enjoy!!

Madigan Line. Take a bit more of that fine red with you this time :-))))
Didn't you retire last year????
Cheers

I agree with all of the above. I am only 56 and have seen a lot of our great country and want to see more. Go out and do it. You only live once and I can tell you from my few trips about Australia that you will meet some fantastic people and that helps make the travelling so good.
Also the people on this
forum are great. A bit of a stir here and there and that's what life is all about. Enjoy the 3 sleeps and then LIVE for the best.
Go for it and have fun.
If you pass thru
Bathurst call for a cold beer. Homebrew that is!!!!!!!

All the best still got a few years yet just remember travel slow and see it all
I tend to give advice on maters I know nothing about so why should I stop now
here go's you have been working and away all day and now you are going to be underfoot and in mums way all the time, I would give it a month or to so as to adjust to the new situation, think of this as serious planning time because you dont have a time limit any more rent the house to the kids and drift for a while, the only stress you shound have is deciding what fish to catch for tea
ps remember to go online now and then to make us all envious

Mal,
I have 78 days to go but who is counting. If you have not determined what you are going to do my suggestion to you is stay at work, but I assume you are taking the mickey out of us. Have a great time enjoy life, keep fit, spend your super. The plans I have made will keep me busy for about 10 years.
Bo.
