Hi All,
Just a wee ?
Anyone know of the general condition of a road that runs in between
Windorah and
Longreach.
Any info would be apreciated.
Thought we might go across to Charlevile and through
Windorah up to
Longreach to miss some of the Highways and hope to find some quiet
camp spots along the way.
Cheers
only 15days to go....................................

Good
camp sites on the west bank of the Thompson river at
Jundah. The road out through
Quilpie is fine, but first go into
Windorah to
check on conditions up to
Longreach. Normally a good run.
It must be getting hard to sleep with only 15 days left till you hit the road.

Hi,
Thanks for the info.
On the banks of the river sounds perfect.
Its getting very hard to sleep. Especially after having to postpone for so long due to technical probs.
Cheers

We drove into
Windorah from
Birdsville a few years ago in December and found quite a few water crossings just out of
Windorah on the
Longreach Road. This road was very good but due to recent rain the water crossings were quite deep. We got through OK in the Patrol.

Hi,
Thanks for the Info.
The RACQ site is good for road closures etc.
I am after info on the general overall condition of the road. Like is my van going to fall to bits from thousands of corrugations or am i going to get heaps of punctures due to rocky surfaces etc.
Better to be safe than sorry.
Cheers
