Sparra there is a National Parkes display on the South Side of Lake Eyre via Muloorina, but I don't remember a stone cairn. This was the area Don Campbell used for his land speed record attempts and there is information about that.
Hope this helps and not just adding some mud to the waters.

G'day Sparra,
Short answer - yes there is.
Real answer - where do you really mean?
Jackboot Bay?
Lake Bowman?
L Eyre South?
There are heaps of
cairns throughout that country.
Who do you think built it? -
Warburton? Stuart? Babbage? Goyder? Or is it a recent cairn ? Or is it a cairn built by a local shepherd/stockman a long while ago?
If you email me at my private addy I can probably help. In two weeks I will be there myself inspecting
cairns in the region, as part of a research project about the greatest explorer Australia has ever had,
John McDouall Stuart.
would really love to see the photo. Can it be emailed?
Cheers
