ARB Air Lockers

Hello,

I am faily new to ARM lockers, i am use to maxi drive inthe rangi.

can i turn the lockers on and off while i am driving, in any kind of situation when i think i may need them

Yep, steering will pretty stiff with the front locker in so flick it off for tight turns.

Go to ARB, pretend you are shopping for them, and ask them... :) They will give you the true answer you need in detail.

You can turn them on and off while moving.. But not while moving too fast.. You should really have them engaged BEFORE you enter the obsticle area. Then slow down while coming out, and turn them off.

Not advisable to go fast in reverse, and not to have the wheels spinning while in the air and landing too much faster than the car is going.. CV's are toys when this happens.

Watch a Outback/Tufftruck vid to get a good idea.

I thought CV's were fusible links to stop during axles and diffs.
I agree the lockers are not really designed for high speed work, watched a jeep do 4 axles when they got abit of air underneath and came down hard and fast
