Can anyone give me some guidance as to the best brand and type of 4WD snow/mud chains to buy (to suit 225x75x16 tyres). Which are best for all round use, the ladder pattern , or the X patteren. Is the shape of the chain links important? Thanks.

Mario, Try Piranha, in
melbourne, they have all types and sizes. Have used ladder on front and back, only in mud situation - it doesn't snow up here! Catch you later....Bob.
