I want to take the Coaster to the Victorian High Country.

Now before you get all angry and protective!!!

I KNOW I CAN'T GET TO MOST PLACES.

But to be honest. I've never been there at all. It seems to be a place of beauty.

I'm looking for direction and advice of where to go :-) other than the obvious.

We only will have 3 days. Tops.

We have bugger all recovery gear and are NOT looking to do any 4by stuff as we can't.

But if you have a spot somewhere. It would be nice to know.

Thanks

You could start somewhere like Telephone Box Junction, plenty of room for camping, has a rotunda with a potbelly stove, short drive and walk from Craigs Hut, get some maps of the area and see what you think.

Or ... you could camp at Kelly's lane, on Shaw's Creek, off the Tamboritha Road out of Licola, & visit Kelly's Hut, McMichaels Hut & the Moroka Hut. You could also easily get to the Pinnacles Fire Lookout, for arguably one of the best views in the High Country.

And to follow on from there, you could go up to the Howitt High Plains and visit Howitt Hut and camp there, All this is north from Licola.

It's a toss up between these and craigs hut.

Can I do all of them?

It can be done, but a fair drive between them for the Coaster. You would have to travel between Mansfield and Licola via Woods Point. I think you would have a better range of things to see north of Licola for the three days.
