We are heading to Central Aus in August and are already in the early stages of preparation. We are intending on completing quite a few of the walks etc while out there and are looking for a new backpack to carry our then 19mnt old. Our current kid carrying backpack has finally died so we are looking for a replacement. Can anyone recommend one that they have found comfortable? Has anyone one they would like to let go of? We are in
Brisbane.

I have a "Wild Child" by WE ("wilderness Equipment")
It is on its 3rd Kid and is the best thing!!!!
Mac Pac do an "Opossum" which is much the same.
I can carry bub all Day with no ill effects!!!!
They are expensive but worth every penny!!!!!

It's probably of no help to you being in Brissy, or its just too late now..but I was at Anaconda today (the camping store) and they had a Chicco caddy knapsack, aluminium frame, canopy, insert for small babies, took up to 15 kilos weight and ages 6 to 36 months old. Was $169.95 but on sale till all gone at $69.99.
I wrote all this down today because I saw one as I was leaving the
shop and remember someone on the
forum asking...I didn't remember you were all the way in QLD tho...but maybe you know someone in Vic who could mail you one....hope it helped
