Posted earlier today for places to go in the High Country.

Got lots of good ideas, Thankyou.

We really want to go, but have decided to put if off for a while until we equip ourselves a bit more.

This may seem overkill to some because you know your way around. But we don't really know what to expect ... so we'll expect the worst.

I just wanted to say thanks for the ideas.

Musty

Good Idea to be better planned, as mentioned there are plenty of place to go up there with out a 4wd. We have seen many small cars cruising around there, alot of the roads are well graded. If you just stuck to them, I wouldnt be too concerned. There are some great camping areas off the howqua track where the coaster would have plenty of room to camp.

Thanks Crazie.

Maybe we'll just take a rope and an extra blanket?

I know a bloke who fitted a 1HZ and front suspension under a Coaster to make it into a very formidable 4x4 with caravan qualities

You never know your limits, iMusty!

James, you seem to have everything you need for dirt roads, a place to sleep, camping equipment, what else do you need. Just do it.

We were reading that the weather can turn quick on you and H didn't like the look of that. Nor did I.

Seen some scary pics yeaterday of tents being gobbled up by the snow and advisments for epirbs etc...

I just thought that "I dont know" so dont go!

But the feedback I'm getting now suggests that a trip from Licola (which were familiar with) to some of the Huts looks real exciting.

I suppose 'I' dont want to be the 'fuc-wit' that gets into trouble and we all read post about that bloke in the Coaster who had to eat his Mrs. to survive. Not that that sounds to bad as I type. Be right back!
