G'Day all,
I thought I'd share some interesting info that was passed on to me....
I work for a large insurance company ( building service manager ) and a mate of mine in the Claims Dept. passed this on regarding a claim.
2001 Prado GLX/Grande genuine Toyota battery ( from Toyota, part number 2880064132) : $1,590.00
Non genuine :
$175:00 ( all quoted from Toyota spares Dept. )
Dah, which one do I want????

Regards,
Bazza.

AIR FILTER STUFF. Assuming that you travel 40k kms per year thats 1 air filter per year. 16 cents a day. This thing is a pretty heavy duty and pretty large air cleaner. UMMMM whats the problem...is it memories of the RYCO in the 202 for$12 bucks or something. Lets keep it real. Lets compare Prado spares with BMW, Mercedes or other vehicles of LESSER OFFROAD ABILITY!!!!!!!!!!

Was quoted $17.00 for one Prado wiper blade the other day, the other one was $11 (for some reason one has a thin support , the other a wide one)....off to discount auto parts...~$9.00 total for both.

Cheers

Had to replace number plate /handle assembly on my LC80 (plastic had come to pieces inside). Guy at Toy parts quoted me $170 for complete assembly...assembled; or $50 if I pulled the old number plate lights etc out and put em in the new one myself. Guess which one I got :)
