Hi Big Woody

Simple really. At the bottom of the typing section is the format you need to use. so if you wanted to put in a hyperlink to www.exploroz.com/forum for example, and have show as Exploroz in the body of the post you would enter exactly as follows

Exploroz

I often use the copy (control key plus C) to pick up the address from the display in the top of the browser to paste in between the " ".

Good Luck

Sorry Big Woody - brain not fully functioning today. the link text is the words you want to appear in the message as the hyperlink. In my example this would be Exploroz and should be followed by a.

hope I have not confused you even more.

Brett,

see where under the responses it gives a couple of examples one for links and the other for images.
- You can copy and paste the top one for links to the page you are responding, but cut the actual point where it gives the URL - the http:// part and insert your own link. Leave the talking marks there as it gives the quote to the software
- Then you delete the part "link text" and insert your link name to show the colour change showing where to click - your hyperlink name that is. Call it 'Link' or basil or whatever.

The system will look up your link and tell you if you have it wrong. I have occasionally before.

To do it just do this:

1. type this into your message (or cut and paste)

Check out this link

2. To create a hyperlink then take out this from the above http://www.exploroz.com/default.asp

3. And replace it with any word you like. EG link, see this, Scrubys home page etc...

It will appear as whatever you want.

For example
Check out this link

Thanks Guys,

I couldn't have done it with out you, well I must admit, some of your instructions led me astray but they all made sense in the end.

Look out now, every second word is going to be a link somewhere.

Cheers,
Brett

So now I'm the expert. And I've only done it twice.

here goes:
you copy the doohickey from the thingemy at the bottom and stick it.....................................................................................

O.K. I'll try again.

1. At the bottom of the follow-up page you will see the words "TO Post Hyperlinks" in bold type. Beneath these words are 2 examples of how to write up a hyperlink - one for links to text pages and one for pictures (i think)

2. Copy one of these and paste it on your follow-up page

3. Then go to the website page you are wanting to link to and copy the address from your browser at the top of the page.

4. Go back to your follow-up page and delete everything between the inverted comma's ("") on your hyperlink and paste the whole address from your webpage

5. Then go to the end of your hyperlink text and delete the words "link text" and type in the words that you want to show up in Blue as the hyperlink

6. Sit back and enjoy the view

7. Help the next person that comes along who can't do it and type this out like I have. Then read over what you have just typed and say - "this is only going to confuse the sh*t out of him".

8 Laugh!!!

9. Click on the "Submit Follow-up" button
