If it is just the dial that is not working you may be able to fix it.

The terminals in the thermostat dial thing on our one at work broke away from the circuit board and gave us an intermittent fault. It appeared to be made worse by the plastic circle on the insulating bag pushing against the dial when ever the lid was opened.
Fixed it by soldering a wire into the terminal and bridging it onto a intact piece of the circuit board.

If that's not your problem you could contact Engel direct as a salesman from Engel told me that they do sell spares. Have a spare arm or leg handy though.

Hoyks, thanks for that. It is the switch that is broken, then terminals have come away from the switch, will follow up with Engel direct.

If you're in Brisbane, try Caravan Refrigeration Services, 1/11 Walter Crescent, Lawnton (northside of Brisbane). Phone (07) 3205 1236 and ask for Geoff Redfern. I was there yesterday with a warranty claim for my Engel and found them most helpful. Alternatively, do what I did and email Engel. They will tell you your closest approved repairer.

Give the following a try. He fixes all our work Engels and is very cheaply priced. Has a huge array of spares for Engel (or any other type of fridge).
