Wonnangatta - Grimme Track and Blue Plain Spur Track
Temporary Track Closure

Monday 11/04/05 to Friday 06/05/05

These tracks will be closed between Bull Plain Road and Macalister River
Track for public safety while essential road maintenance works take place.
This will involve the use of heavy earth moving machinery.

Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes during this period.

do you know of the exact reason for the closure just completed the grimme track and was real challenging do they want to make it passable for a 2wd so that there are no hard tracks within these state forests or national parks spoils the whole adventure......

Hi Pat, I have no idea other than what was posted on the parks website yesterday which I posted above. Maybe they feel the track has deteriorated to an extent that some may get out of their depth resulting in injury.

There has been several serious accidents on those tracks over the years & I spose they want them cleaned up before someone is killed. Watched a shorty cruiser go 80m over the side coming out of Grimmes creek. Up until that point we were having lots of fun. Unfortunatly these days it seems that dangerous tracks are either repaired or closed all together.

Someone has to save the idiots from themselves. Otherwise I have to send them a helicopter to get them out...

Anyone see HEMS land near Bluff Hut on Saturday?
