I am looking at
buying a camper trailer and have narrowed it down to a Pioneer - Onxy or an Australian Offroad Camper - Odyssey ZR. Can anyone give me the low down on the two or one of them. Good and bad points.

Good points; easy to tow and set up good storage.
Bad points; small if more than 2 people, expencive and a pain on uneven ground.
Still they are very good campers and it comes down to personal choice.

I thought the Odessy had better finish, but all of the top campers are
well made (ie include KK, Campomatic, Ultimate etc).
The bad point is definitely price. You would have to be certain of using the rig often and long.

I recently had a good look at both
Pioneer (a mate just purchased one) - goodtow ball weight, poor canvass work (no zipps on windows flap in wind) dust ingress on back door (no back door on Autralian Offroad) Frame work etc both much a much
However the offroad uses SS where ever posible. I think from memory the offroad had the spare on the front much easier to get at if your stuck onit in the kimberlys like on the Pioneer.
I would suggest invest an extra 1k and hire each for a week and evauate them before you shellout 10s k
Have fun in the bush I hope you enjoy it.
PS some good articles and reviews in some recent issues of $WD Monthly on the campertrailers you are lloking at.

hi Womp
Its not about choice but how often you will use it if you do not use it for 3mths a year you will do your dough in deprecition touring for the weekend a tent or a cabin /motel would cost $50bucks is it worth the thousands you would spend

Chris, the camper you are talking about I take it is a soft floor model, I have got one of those now and my wife will now only accept a hard floor, no more than 5 mins to rig type....
