Google says no and it looks like the 500 is the first model in that series to support PC connectivity.

hi Paj.
I have one just looking at it now. does'nt look like it can. It's a good little unit though impact resistant and waterproof so i can use it on the boat as
well does everythink i need it to.
I mostly go off the map and then back it up with the GPS [ya gotta keep the brain ticking over] . It also has amazing reception i can leave it next to the gear stick and it will still track at least 4 sat's.

Nope, and Glenno is right as
well.
I have a 100, and you can't even plug into the Cig Lighter plug.
It is the bare bones GPS. Don't get me wrong, it's okay, but simply made for walkers &
boaties, no frills.
Cheers

Yes - it has had me wondering why they would bother - the 100, 200 and 300 have no external connections whatsoever (power/data) though if your keen you can solder on a few wires yourself as the circuit board has approriate points for wires(not tested so not 100% sure) - the released/soon to be released 400, 500 and 600 do however have the set up you would expect in this day and age.

Save your pennies and buy one with a few features.I managed to pick up
a Meridian Platinum for $441.00 from Dick Smith who was having a clearance. They have all the features you could want.

Yes - agree - the new explorist's do dont do anything different - just a new smaller external case - same functions etc - $441 is a steal - $200 more would have still been cheap...unfortunately I guess a limited supply .
