govo,
Well bloke, if you had not purchased a guzzling nissan, you would be a fair bit better off. And shame on you, blaming the Gov that you voted for.
ROFLMAO
Cheers,

Don't forget, in Qld you are not paying state fuel tax (which the GST was meant to replace).

$1.20 Rock on
But what r ya going to do. Fuel is just one of those thing where you have to cop it on the chin or in this case the back pocket. Oh well just think only another 25 years of oil. Then we can start paying throe the nose for hydrogen fuel, gas and man made diesel.
I am looking forward to it how about U.

$1.24 here in
Peterborough less 5c/l if you
shop locally.
We are just about to take off for the outback and expecting to pay up to $2.50litre at Kunawarrtji in WA.
Them's the breaks.......sigh
The excuse these days is that China is diesel hungry and consuming more and more and therefor the price keeps on going up. With other commodities if you buy more the price usually come down.
Our Government takes 38c/l excise and then also imposes GST on top of the retail price which is at $1.24 a litre= 12 cents. So they are creaming 50c/l everytime someone fuels up.
Nice little earner...eh?

The diesel price in
Adelaide varies from $1.15-$1.23 depending on where you go. What pisses me off is that I use "biodiesel" which is a 50:50mix of bioD and oil D and am only paying a few cents cheaper than the premium diesel (20 BioD/80 OilD). There is no incentive to use the more enviro friendly fuel. I would like to know what the price structure of the biodiesel is as I'm sure that the govt are milking it for all they can get. I have heard that it costs somewhere from $0.20-$0.50 per litre to make and assuming the $0.50 in govt tax grab, where does the rest of the price go? I wouldn't have thought that the servo's would be making that large a profit.

One servo in inner west
Brisbane has ULP for 97.5c/l and has Dielse at 115.9. Almost 20c a lite difference.
My usual BP servo has no Diesel fuel. I suspect they figure for those prices they will wait until the price comes down or something. Maybe they dont sell much diesel and are scared of buying a load and being stuck with it if the price drops.
Pricks
Cheers,
Glenn.

Some of you people should wipe your mouth with toilet paper after you speak as that much of it comes out of your mouth when you speak. I am a truck operator & farmer and use more fuel in a month than most of you would use in a couple of years, the last time we had a fill of several thousand litres (March) we paid $1.20 a litre. We then get about 38 cents back in the form of a rebate. This keeps the price of goods and the stuff you eat ,that is grown in rural regions and trucked to the cities at a cheaper price. We have put our freight prices up from $16 to $17 per tonne for 207 Ks trip in the last 10 years and like you are suffering from large fuel increases and do not have CPI adjustments like many others do. Under the previous Fed Labour Govt the excise was indexed to the cpi. That was abolished with the Howard Govt and is now the flat rate that it is about 35 cents per litre. Imagine how much you would be paying for fuel if that indexation continued, even allowing for the GST. IN Vic we have as from the 1st of July all licences and fees indexed by Bracks so cop that one to.

not quite that simple, compliance costs are about 3 cents per litre(keeping K,s and litres for all vehicles. Then the rebates, plus the GST that you get back after you claim then becomes a taxable income so 30 to 40% off that.
