Hi all,just been to
check out the camper trailers at the show (no intention of buying),and bugger me dead i bought a Kimberly Kamper(don't know how it happened). Found nearly all trailers were of a good quality but the KK just has the edge .Only bought the cheap unit-the escape-(have to tell the bank manager it was cheap!) but will suit us fine.(Only me &the missus) So if your at the show today or tomorrow please keep your 20cent pieces off the duco. ps.Wow if you want a BIG camper trailer
check out the All Terrain camper. Has a kitchen & lounge inside,a big queen bed PLUS room beside it for your extra 2 girlfriends, plus an outdoor stove and room underneath for a whole Alaskan sled dog team.

Hi Gronk,
Know just how you feel, recently went to
Adelaide caravan show with a CT purchase about 5 years away, and guess what, we have a new camper too, hahaha,
well it was, it has stonechips and red dust etc already, but thats what we bought it for, so enjoy your purchase and see you in the bush!

Pesty forgot to add that he hasn't told HIS bank manager yet and also that he has to get himself a hairdryer for the old tojo now so that he might have some slim chance of keeping up with us trol blokes!!!!! hahahaha
Congrats on the purchase Gronk, I'm sure you'll be very pleased with your KK. Did you happen to look at the Ultimate stand at all? I haven't seen their stand for a few years, but remember that they used to always put together an impressive display.
Happy camping and if you're over this way in the future, give us a shout....Pesty's only about an hour away from here and we enjoy meeting other EO forumites.
Cheers mate
Roachie

Yes,ultimate & campomatic were there. Ultimates were nice but I didn't have the bucks and campomatics were probably 2nd choice , the KK being slightly cheaper and having a slightly better overall look( so hard to pick, all excellent campers) If I was looking at soft floor campers Pacific Campers (QLD) had an aluminium camper on top of a steel chassis(approx 300kg) that looked good and seemed to be built strong(off-road approx $8900)

I asked because we bought a Campomatic
Ranger M3 about 9 months back - seems a great unit to us - we looked at the KK and were just about to sign up for a classic with gull wing box but its too damned heavy at the ball - we'd have to use a load levelling hitch for safe travel - not so with the Campo. Were Julia and Noel there too - from Aussie Swag ? Have seen one of those in the bush with what seemed to be an hydraulically operated camper opener/closer.... very swish....... The Ultimate would be good, and the resale would be very good I expect, but the outlay seemed unreasonable for our needs..... and as far as I can see you have to fuly open it to use the stove or the fridge, or anything (It seems)...?

The Aussie Swag electric winch for closing option is $1250. Probably cheaper to send the wife to the gym. ( She looks better for it anyway).

A long time ago me and the missus were known as gronk and shag (after the characters in a tv show back in the 70's- if your old enough to remember)
