It's near impossible to get an accurate water quality report on the Canning as all it takes is one animal to die in a
well,
gorge or tank the day before you arrive & it's no longer fit to drink. We found a rotting camel in one
water hole & a goanna down a recently rebuilt
well which we rescued before it died. The best plan is to carry all your drinking water & only rely on water along the way for washing of which there are plenty of options mentioned in the various trip notes & guide books.
Cheers Craig..............

Yeah we found a dead snake in
Well 26 and dead birds in
Well 42.
But we boiled the water anyway. Carried 60 litres of drinking water. Used the
Well water for everything else.
Well 6 and
Well 46 had the best water.
