Fairly new to the 4by game, and have recently bought myself a Toyota HiLux 3.4 SR5 that I'd like to play with a bit more!
On a trip out recently, I was suffering lack of grip mainly due to poor rear articulation (and maybe some dodgy wheel placement!) and wondered what the best answer was (and before anyone says buy a Patrol/Rodeo/Cruiser/Land Rover the HiLux is the ideal car for me for a whole host of reasons!) to improve this?
I want to avoid lifiting the car if possible as a) it woun't fit into my garage and b) I prefer the stability of the standard height. I've fitted 31" BFG A/T which have improved things a bit, but was wondering what the best mod. would be to improve the off-road performance?
Also as a side issue, does anybody have the GPS co-ordinates for the
Slippery Rock track start up in the Wattagans?
Thanks!
Greg

personally m/t tyres(approx $300 a tyre) and diff locks(arb air lockers prob about 3000 front and rear at a guess) certainly would help or even just better
suspension package (depending on what u have already)(not sure on hilux but approx 1000)
comes down to how much you like your toy and how much you can afford to throw at it
cheers fozzy

A rear air locker will give massive improvement, around $2000 with the required compressor or an auto unlocker at a cheaper price.

"and before anyone says buy a Patrol/RODEO/Cruiser/Land Rover..."

Get some OME
suspension for better handling both on and off road, then look at lockers.

did you find that the OME
suspension improved the ride at all? My Hilux rides so hard it makes passengers seasick. Did you replace just the rear springs or the front t-bars as
well?
