Hi,
I have a 10X10 cm tear in the shape of an L in the fly of my tent(Caused by tree branch falling on it during high winds). Fly is a nylon material. Anyone have ideas on how to repair and waterproof it.

Doesn't Duct Tape repair everything?

Go to any good camping supply shop and they should have iron on repair kits. Womens business all you have to do is hold the ironing board up!

Go to a sailmaker, they have 'stickyback' available in all colours for sail numbers & spinnaker repairs!

Went to local great outdoors shop recently for advise to repair my torn tent, they showed me an adhesive that really works as follows.
butt the torn edges do NOT overlap
put adhesive tape along the tear one side only
apply adhesive on other side along tear
the adhesive cures across the tear and works really well

when the salesman told me it would work without overlapping i was skeptical but it really works
Its called seamgrip hope this helps
