Guys,
The road condition report still has the Plenty Hwy as still being closed.
Has anyone travelled it recently, and is the information on the Plenty accurate?

Will be there around the 28th-1st April/May heading from Boulia to Alice, Any info would be great.

Cheers,
Marc.

Hi Marc,

The latest information I have is as follows (I hope to update it later today):
Plenty Highway (NT)
Between End of Bitumen and Queensland border
High clearance, Changing Surface Conditions
Unsealed road with loose surface, rough and corrugations

Donohue Highway/Plenty Highway (Boulia Road) (QLD)
No reported difficulties

Hope this helps,
Safe and happy travelling,
Regards,
Juliana.

Marc,

Shouldn't be too much wrong with the Plenty. The Georgina River has long gone, and your biggest problem might be some bulldust.

Every bloke, and his dog, has been shifting cattle over the last month or more, so road trains may have cut up the drier sections of the road.

Take your time and you'll be okay. Weather is cooling down a bit up here now, so by then it should be close to glorious!!

Hooroo...
Seen it all, Done it all.
Can't remember most of it.

Hi Marc
Ring Tobermory Station on the borderat the junction of the Plenty & Donohue they are very helpful, this is a free service, do the right thing drop in and buy some fuel price not too bad tell them you rang and at least they might keep this service going

If in doubt check with the tourist information service in Boulia before heading off

you can get the number from directory asst.

regards Kev
