Anyone thinking of visiting this area ULP is $1.37 p/l and Diesel $1.42 p/l, both fuel types rose by 3/4 cents yesterday, the word is there are more price rises on the way. Last year at this time we were paying about $1.18 p/l.

Cheers

Price per barrel of oil has fallen a bit but dont hold your breath waiting for it at the pump.
I am looking at a trip very soon, a long one, & its a bit of an issue.

Welcome to the real world - ie. outside the major cities. The price of ULP and Diesel has been well over the $1.30 mark for yonks in the north of the State. I run on gas most of the time at only $0.82 per litre (compared to about .40 - .45 in city) Slightly less Km/Litre running around but comparable on long runs. For a change over cost of about $2000 - or about 40 fill-ups its worth considering. Even at the high gas prices here in the North I still smile when I fill the gas tank for about $60.

I reckon these city boys get too much choice and havnt learnt the fill and pay method - fill the tank (s) walk in swipe your card punch in your pin number and walk out. It will always cost you what it costs you have 2 other choices buy a bike or stay at home

The North West- where logic goes out the window.

Wheres the nearest LNG plant to Karratha? 35km away..
and the price of gas? 78c a litre.
Wheres the nearest LNG plant to Morley? 1600km away?
and the price of gas? 38c a litre.

It must be the old country hospitality we are paying extra for.

wow, 82c is some incredible price for gas. I'm paying 38c at the moment..gotta love that price. on gas my consumption goes up 20% so 38c is the equivalent to paying 45.6 for petrol :)

Hi Spango,
I was at Exmouth the week before the school holidays and diesel was $1.33 c/p/l and as it got closer to the school holidays it went up to $1.35 c/p/l. Strangely the cost of fuel was 3c/p/l cheaper at the caravan park at the Cape.
Nice place to visit but I couldnt afford to live there.

If anyone is Whingeing it must be YOU!!!!!!!!!!
