G'day All, Because I've done no good with Holden re their pathetic 120KG tow-ball load on my 99 Jack, I have relocated the spare wheel to the back bumper by welding up a suitable bracket and mounting it there.Problem is I'd prefer to have the tyre out of direct sun, so that means a tyre cover. Supercheap sell covers for 4wd spares for , I think, around 20 bucks, but mine is only a 185 / 75 x 14 LT and you could two of them inside the 4wd ones. I rang a couple of caravan dealers and they were both breaking their backs to sell me one for my size for only $55. I'm happy to pay more than Supercheap But not $55, and these were elasticised slip-ons which would be ok but not at there price.
So after all that, would be very grateful if anyone could point me to where they might be a bit better priced.
Thanks for any suggestions,
Pete.

Supacheap in Fyshwick ACT have covers to fit the smaller 14" wheels, I have one on my van and son has one on his trailer bought only last monday, they are not reral snug but they do the job. Carefully check package markings for sizing

Pete,
If you are in WA there's a place in Canning Vale that's selling small tailor made ones for $28 I saw them there early this week. really good quality, if you're in WA i'll tell you where the place is otherwise I'm wasting my time and I don't wnt to be accused of anything I shouldn't be doing advertising wise.

Thanks Bradley, I'll try again with Holden, the only way is up. And thanks Dingbat & Martyn for your suggestions even if I forgot to say that I'm in Melbourne.
HEY STEVE, One of the real values of this forum is the willingness of the great majority of people to try to help others with answers to questions and input where they might have experience and knowledge which the poster might not have in that area.
I would hope that when you pose questions, you would get a little more positive attitude in the replies, than you considered necessary in this case.
Even more importantly, should you ever break down when travelling, and I hope you don't, that the attitude that seemed to prevail in the wording and tone of your reply is never forthcoming from anyone from whom you are seeking help.
Cheers & happy travelling,
Pete.

G'day Penguin, Isn't it funny how you can overlook the obvious, I didn't think of the Exploroz cover & the trader section & will go well with the window stickers I already have. I'll follow that up straight away.
cheers.
Pete
