Hi all,

Anyone out there know of an authorised (or not) repairer who would carry parts and do a quick repair on a Motorola 9500 satphone.

I have a problem with mine and am heading off in 2 weeks on a trip so it's pretty urgent. We have a 2nd unit to take but I'd like mine fixed to take too.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Dave try these guys they are the mob that Motorola sent me to for help with my sat phone.
I went to the Thomastown Address and they were great to deal with.
Don't know about the Dandenong office but give them a ring.

Cheers
John

Contacted them today.

The problem I had involved the antenna sensing pin being bent when someone tried to turn the antenna when it wasn't quite in. This isn't uncommon with these phones.

The repair cost was about $224 + GST.

As a qualified comms tech i was after a part to replace it and they don't sell parts, and if I sent it in I wouldn't get it back before my next trip, (but I did get a solution - phone's fixed and it cost me five minutes of my time and a minor mod to the phone.)

Thanks to those above for the help.
