Finke to Chambers pillar

We were there in Sep last year. The only way in from Finke is via Maryvale.

I agree with Gary. However, I think the people on Idracowra Station are running their own tours and I believe these include access to Chambers Pillar. When I was there last year I couldn't find anyone who had come through Idracowra.

Thanks for that i love getting there too but this is part of a 10,500km trip and i wanted to see both Chambers Pillar and Ayres Rock without too much back tracking.

Hi Steve,

Idracowra were forced to close this access years ago as it got abused. These days theres heaps of 4wds out there, so they are forced to keep that access to themselves. Only access is via Maryvale. Hugh Stock Route is the usual access back to the Highway (Rainbow Valley is just north of the intersection).

Yeah mate we are doing the same trip in June, July except we will be coming up from Victoria, Googs Track, Oodnadatta, chambers pillar and Uluru, Mcdonnell ranges acrooss the plenty and home thru Bourke to Victoria, hope you have a good trip too.
