From Hells Gate and following around as close to the ocean as possible,,,, Borraloola, Roper Bar... etc...

Are these crossings affected by wet season or are they tidal??

And if they are tidal,,,,, how tricky are they to cross and what heights have you seen???

We are contemplating a non-snorkel vehicle coming with us...

Regards...

The crossings are all above the HWM, but a big run off can back up with high tide.

Later in the year.... end of june onwards will see all rivers with little water in them, if you do come across a deep one just use a blind.

I did that trip a couple of years back you will have no problems most of them have causeways. I did the trip in September but watch out for the crocks we saw some real big ones including a cow with its head missing on the bank. The track gets hard to follow around Hells gate but you soon pick it up again.

We are heading that way in July I have heard that is a good road with no trouble at the creek crossings. As they are not tidal! We do not have a snorkel nor do the people travelling with us. When are you leaving & where from?
